Please tell us a little bit about yourself – How would you describe your everyday vanilla life?
I'm 25 years old and work as an underwriter in insurance. It is a pretty standard 9-5 job. However, it gives me the flexibility to be a foster parent which I have been doing for about a year now. On the weekends I'm usually found swimming or hiking... perhaps playing a video game or watching t.v. inside.
When did you first realize you were into bondage?
I was probably around 12 or 13 years old. I used the power of Google to search all about bondage and the BDSM lifestyle.
How you best describe yourself and why? Your choices are: Dominant, Submissive, Switch or Fuzzy Rainbow Unicorn.
I would classify myself as a submissive. My personality, even when not doing bondage, is more of a submissive nature. I like to please people and I return be taken care of by them.
Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional? (please elaborate)
I think it is more emotional for me. The feeling of being tied up and not being able to get free makes me feel emotionally happy. Knowing someone I trust is on the other end of the rope and giving them full control of the situation and me is really enticing. It allows me to let go and just be in the moment.
What does BDSM mean to you: is it a lifestyle, a diversion, or something else?
To me it is just apart of my relationship with my loved one. I wouldn't say lifestyle... but also a lot more then just a hobby.
Were lovers accepting of your interest in bondage?
Yes!! The first person to ever tie me up is the same person (and only) I'm married to.
Please briefly describe your first bondage experience.
It was actually with my neighbor when I was a kid. I was maybe around 11 or 12 years old and he was 12 or 13. We were picnicking in the woods in some moss and he thought it would be fun if we tied each other up to see who could escape. Who knew it would turn into something that I would eventually get into.
What was your best bondage experience?
One day when I was watching t.v. I got my shoes on to take the trash down to the end of the driveway. When I walked back in I was surprised by my partner awaiting with blindfold and rope. With my hands tied behind my back and blindfolded I was led upstairs into our bedroom. My shoes and socks were taken off and I was put onto a really strict hogtie on the bed. Complete with elbow bondage, chest harness, knees, ankles, feet, toes all tied together. Earplugs and a gag to top off my sensory deprivation. It was intense... but it was my best because it was a complete surprise and I was not expecting it.
What is the most creative safe word you have ever used?
Cheesecake! It's my favorite food so that what we thought of. Not that creative. ;)
What do you feel is most important about the experience of bondage?
You really have to trust your partner. You really are helpless and at the mercy of your partner. Without trust bondage would mean nothing to me.
What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out with BDSM?
Go slow and learn as much as you can. I read a lot on the internet before I started and it went a long way. Safety always has to he number 1 priority and then you only have to worry about having fun.
What is your favorite gear, toy or lingerie item from sub-shop.com and why?
Definitely the wraps. I get mummified head to toe in sub shops wraps at least every week. They are EXTREMELY fun and highly recommended.
I think I'll skip the last 2 questions. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to write some stuff about bondage!
