Please tell us a little bit about yourself – How would you describe your everyday vanilla life?
I am a stay at home mom to a two year old boy and three rescue dogs. I received a degree in Photography before the digital age hit and thought I would be working for a museum at this point in my life. Instead, I got married, moved to Texas, found a love for rescue and started working at a non-profit. A few years later we decided to have a kid and I have loved being home with him, although this terrible two phase is a bigger thing than I imagined, good grief! Ha!
How you best describe yourself? Your choices are: Dominant, Submissive, Switch or FuzzyRainbow Unicorn. Please explain your choice.
I would say Submissive. Although I want to say FuzzyRainbow Unicorn because it makes me smile just reading that. Actually, I truly don’t know. To be honest, I would consider my husband and I still novices. We have a good variety of toys from the shop that we play with and love using. Deep down I think could be a Dominant, but feel uncertain and almost timid! When I let myself think about it though, I find myself stirring with excitement. But being tied down, gagged, made to orgasm again and again, or told I am not allowed to, that is where I find the most pleasure. I would love to find an online group I could trust, or even a group to talk to, I should look into that.
What does BDSM mean to you: is it a lifestyle, a diversion, or something else?
It’s pleasure. It allows you explore a part of yourself you maybe didn’t know was waiting to come out to play. And it is a way for my husband and I’s bond to grow and go even deeper.
Do you feel that your desire for bondage is more physical or emotional? (please elaborate)
Ok, so I wanted to answer this question, but sitting here I cannot come up with a good answer. I think both, but truthfully I haven’t ever asked myself that question. (you don’t have to print that if you don’t want to, just letting you know)
What was your best bondage experience?
We were celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. My husband lit the candles in the bedroom, told me strip down and lay on the bed. He proceeded to blindfold me then put me in spread eagle position and had my arms and hands tied down so I couldn’t move. He used a variety of toys, whips, the lit candles and his tongue to drive me stir crazy. We’ve since expanded our inventory to include nipple clamps from your site, the spreader bars, which are my favorite, and a few others.
How do you feel about the Fifty Shades phenomenon?
I would say they are fiction books, take the fun from them and move forward. I don’t feel like I know enough about the BDSM world to say what it did to/for the community, but I know a lot of people who read them and had a lot of questions. So maybe it sparked some fun in bedrooms across the world?
What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out with BDSM?
Buy all the toys that excite you, you never know what you’ll love!
What is your favorite gear, toy or lingerie item from Sub-Shop.com and why?
The spreader bars. We have a wrist set and ankle set and just thinking of them is driving me crazy.
What’s your favorite cheesy pick-up line?
Oh I don’t even know. The only one I can ever think of is that one that says something about you being an angel and falling from heaven?
Is there anything else you would like to share with us such as advice, thoughts or silly knock-knock jokes? We are all ears and ball gags.
So I was reading through some of the other stories and laughing about how people were responding, then I notice myself doing the exact same thing! I find I am almost journaling in my responses, not answering like these will be published online for others to read. So sorry for my train of thoughts, I didn’t realize how nice it would be to get all these thoughts and ideas down on paper. So thank you for the email and for asking to interview even a novice like me!
